Andrea Thompson was born in Ohio and raised in Australia. Andrea graduated from high school at the age of 16 and traveled the world for five years before moving to New York City, where she was discovered by the powerful agent, Irene Marie. A successful modeling career led to studying acting at the Strasberg Studio and at the Herbert Bergdorf Studios. From her first agency audition, Andrea won a role in a feature film and, soon after, appeared in "Delirious" and in "Wall Street." She then signed to play vixen Genelle Erickson in the television series, "Falcon Crest," earning a Soap Opera Digest award nomination for her performance. In 1987 she married Davod Guc and they divorced in 1990. Andrea then starred as Talia Winters on the popular , "Babylon 5". While on the show she married Jerry Doyle in 1995 but they were divorced in 1997. She followed this with a role in the television drama, "JAG". She also starred in the feature film, "A Gun, A Car, A Blonde," which premiered at the 1997 Slamdance Festival. Andrea announced she would be leaving NYPD Blue in order to become a journalist for CNN Headline News. She left soon after.
